My second is use objects to create a framing effect in the photo. this is not required all of the time but it can help make your photo look nicer.
Another rule is to not clutter your photo with too many objects because it may confuse the viewer, and take away from what you are trying to make the subject.
The biggest rule that you should follow is not centering your subject in the photo. You should use the rule of thirds to keep yourself from doing this.
The last rule is to balance the photo with focus points that are spread out around the photo. It doesn't always have to be exactly symmetrical, but they have to attract the same amount of attention.
